You can’t make someone like you, but you can behave in ways that will make it slightly more likely. Here are strategies to keep in mind – not ways to manipulate people or to be fake, but to ensure that your desire to be friendly effectively shines through!
So it is the start of a new year again. You and I are contemplating all the ways that this year is going to be different than last year. What changes need to be made, where we are going to travel and finally losing that last ten pounds.
I propose something smaller than that. We always remember the ways that made last year bad, but we almost never remember the ways that it was possibly the greatest year of our lives.

Some people argue that it is better to be interesting than happy. But that’s a false choice. It’s true that is you’re trying to tell an interesting story, unhappiness makes a much easier subject. There’s more conflict, more drama. But real life is different. Studies show that happiness doesn’t make people complacent or self-centered, but instead, makes them more interested in tackling challenges and helping others.
So here at Tracy’s Soaps, I love getting orders early! I know what is expected, there is a time frame and I can get everything scheduled around a big project.

Sometimes February can be a long month even though it is the shortest. It has been a while since the last big holiday rush and Spring seems ever so far away. I am reminded of a favorite childhood book of mine ‘The Phantom Tollbooth” by Norton Juster. Where in a part of the story a little boy named Milo is diving in a toy car through the mythical place called the Doldrums. That is my idea of February!
When you own your own business, there is no downtime for being creative. Everything around you should be an inspiration and if it’s not, move away from where you are!
Another one of my favorite books is The Happiness Project by Gretchen Rubin. She inspires me on a daily basis and I found some of her tips to be essential when driving myself out of the doldrums!
