October Foodie Pen Pal

I have never been a “foodie” person. There are numerous reasons why I don’t try a lot of food, for one I have food allergies and spicy foods kill my stomach. But on top of my allergies, I am picky. I am really, really picky. Continue reading

I’d Like to Tell You About Procrastination…Just Give Me A Minute

So here at Tracy’s Soaps, I love getting orders early! I know what is expected, there is a time frame and I can get everything scheduled around a big project.

That being said, last month (June), I got an order for … Christmas!!! Holy Cow, I just put my bathing suit on for the first time, let alone thinking about ugly sweaters…

On the other-hand, I love this. It is quite a big undertaking and I appreciate the heads up so much. Continue reading

And So It Begins…

“Over the river and through the woods to grandmother’s house we go!”

And so begins the holiday season. Thanksgiving is almost here and if it were up to the big retailers and some radio stations, Christmas has already begun!

I can’t help it though… this is my favorite time of year. People getting together that have been apart most of the year; sharing stories from holidays from years past. Not to mention all the food! Folks breaking out the cookbooks and sharing their time honored family delicacies.  It was the only time that I would eat my mother’s Jell-O mold and actually like it.

It is a time to look back over the year and see all that we gained and unfortunately for some, all we have lost. It is a time to be thankful in whom we are and knowing that with all the good and bad that has happened, it has made us into the people we are today.

I am blessed with a loving family, even though through the rest of the year it seems we are at each other’s throats.  A wonderful and supportive husband: and my own business that I truly love doing.

As things get hectic this holiday season and we all know they will, take time out to stop and realize the good things in your life. We all have something to bring to the table this year. Whether it is love, laughter or even a string bean casserole, we all add to the Thanksgiving buffet.

Have a safe and happy holiday from all of us at Tracy’s Soaps!
